what are the first steps to get started?
So the very first thing you need to understand is you need to decide what you want to blog about.
What are you passionate about? The next step you need to remember is you need to choose a blogging platform.
It can be WordPress.
It can be Blogspot, it can be Wix or it can be Squarespace as well.
So you need to choose your blogging platform.
What I will recommend you to do is choose WordPress.
The next thing you need to remember is you need to find a domain name. Now
domain name is basically the identity of your website.
So www.iide.co is a domain name, so if you want to get started with your blogging website,
you need to first buy a domain name.
You can buy this domain name from GoDaddy,
Bigrock, Bluehost and Webverge.
The next thing you need to do is need to find a hosting.
Now what exactly is a host?
Just the way you need a place to stay where you keep all your files, utensils, your clothes the same
way your wordpress
website would also need a place to stay and that is called as hosting basically a server where you're
going to keep all your files.
Now, once you have all these things ready then the next step is to design your blog.
Now you have understood the process of blogging.
The next step is to create content for your blog.
Now, while writing the content, there are a few things which I'd like to suggest.
And these are the mistakes, which I made earlier when I was starting with my blogging website, I
used to write about everything.
Well you need to ask yourself a question that are people looking for this content?
If yes, then I'll suggest you to write this content.
So the first point is to understand your audience and you can easily understand your audience by doing
something called as the keyword research.
You can go to Google and search that particular keyword.
And if people are looking for this keyword, then you can write an article about that.
So let me show you how. So here you can see that I've already installed Ubersuggest extension on my browser.
The next thing I need to do is I need to find any keyword I like.
So let's say I'm searching for digital marketing courses.
It would automatically suggest you how many monthly searches are done.
And what is the difficulty if you are writing an article?
Now SEO difficulty is about how difficult is it for you to get a rank on a google search and it is calculated
out of 100
So look for something which is below 25
if you're just starting with your blogging website. the next thing is very important.
you need to write a good Metatitle and description, if your Metatitle and description is not good enough
then there are chances people are not going to land on your website.
So whenever you are writing a Metatitle here are a few tips which I can suggest you right awa,.
so here you can add modifiers like best, top
amazing,
fabulous.
So all of these words can added in your metatitle.
You can also try adding 'here' , remember one thing that if you're writing content on your website and
your Metatitle and description is not good enough, then you will get a lot of impressions
that means people are going to see your result but never click on it.
The third thing you need to remember is organize your content.
I've made this mistake in my past when I used to write content which is around 100 or 200 words
Now Google loves long form content.
That means if you're writing an article which is around a thousand words there are chances that your
website will rank on Google search.
So let's say if you're writing content of how to make a pizza in 100 words.
Then there are chances
not a lot of people are going to understand this content.
Who will understand how to make pizza in a few hundred words?
I won't.
So you'll need to write long form content
That means you need to explain everything in detail.
So for example, if I'm writing about how to make pizza then you need to mention what should be
the size of the carrot?
What should be the temperature of the oven?
Everything should be in detail.
Now, don't make the mistake which I made in the early days of blogging, always write long form
content because it works and your website will get ranked on Google
search for that.
But let's say if you don't have anything to write
you can just write 500 to 1000 words articles.
The next tip I have for you is and it is very important and that is to proofread your content. If
your content is boring and people are not loving your content, then there are chances that you are doing
a big mistake.
So always use tools like Grammarly or Hemingway editor to check your grammar.
The next tip I have for you is optimize for on page.
SEO
What exactly is on page SEO?
On page SEO is basically the set of rules and regulation which you need to follow every time whenever you
are writing a content on your site.
Remember one thing that on page SEO is one of the most important factor whenever you are going to
write content on your site so you can do a few things.
For example, you can add a metatitle and description in your content.
You can add more images and explain those images what they really are.
So, for example, if you are adding an image of a pizza, you need to write the description of that
image that this is an image of pizza.
Try embedding YouTube videos in your content because that will help people to stay longer on your website.
Remember one thing if you can make a user stay for a longer time on your website, Google will love your
site and it will automatically move your article on top of Google search.
The next tip I have for you is try using catchy title.
We judge a book by its cover and a blog post by its title.
What do I mean by that?
Whenever you are writing a blog post, it is very important to write a nice title.
And if your title is not good, there are chances people are not going to come to your website.
If people are not coming to your website, that means the article won't be shared with anyone.
If the article is not shared with anyone, that means it won't be ranked on Google search.
So if you want to improve your headlines, then you need to make sure that you are using power words on
your website.
Now, what are power words? Power words can be helpful, and it will help you to get more people to click on your website.
The next thing you need to make sure is that you are adding those keywords in your headlines.
What do I mean by that?
So, for example, if you're searching anything on Ubersuggest and if you like that keyword you need
to add that in the headline as well.
This will help you to get more people clicking on your website.

The first one is Rank on Google Search and the second one is
Best 11 ways to rank on Google search engine.
Which one are you going to click on?
I bet you are going to click on the second one.
Why?
Just because I'm writing the word best and here if you know I've added
11 ways
When you use odd numbers, there are chances more people are going to click on your website.
So stop using the words top 10 ways and say use 11 or 30 or 50.
So this way you will get more people to click on your website.

If you're creating content for your website, there are chances that you might end up with a lot of
ideas or you might end up with no ideas at all.

So let me show you how you can get started.
So what you can do is you can go to Quora and you can search whatever you like the most.
So let's say
I want to write about best laptops under 40 thousand rupees.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to write best laptops and I'm just going to click on the search button.
Now here you will find a lot of questions, what people are looking for.
So for example, I'm going to look for some questions.
So now here you can see what's the best laptop I can buy as a CS student.
Now remember one thing that everyone will be writing about the same thing and that is best laptops
under forty thousand rupees.
It is not important for you to copy and paste the same article.
Remember that thing?
So what you can do is you can try picking a microniche out of it.
Now here you can see what are the best laptops I can buy as a CS student.
Now this is a very specific search going.
What you can do is you can write an article about this and that is how you can find a lot of keyword
ideas from Quora.
